Tara has been with the Douglas Shire’s local tourism organisation, Tourism Port Douglas Daintree, since 2006. She has extensive knowledge of tourism and regional development within the Douglas Shire, which encompasses the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.

Tara has obtained numerous qualifications in tourism and management, including a Master of Tourism (Ecotourism) at James Cook University.

Tara has led her team to multiple awards for innovative marketing campaigns and is committed to collaboration working closely with stakeholders, government and industry collectives.
