Great news in Geelong! Local, State and Federal Governments have agreed upon a $355 million City Deal for Geelong aimed at revitalising the city by boosting its tourism industry. The plan includes the establishment of a new convention centre.
Victorian Treasurer, Tim Pallas, said the Convention Centre would bring $350 million to the regional economy during construction and about $50 million each year once it is operating. “The Convention Centre will support 270 jobs, boost tourism and drive new business growth in the region,” Mr Pallas said.https://infrastructuremagazine.com.au/2019/03/12/geelong-city-deal-to-revitalise-local-economy/
