In 2012 the founder of Goingtoplaces.com, Geoffrey Dening opened Beds in Robe, hosting guests with 80% international visitors, working and holidaying in Australia. No universal mobile/tablet information/booking service was available. He has also been active in promoting the region and event management over the past decade nationally and internationally.

In 2016 the Robe SA app was published and Geoffrey Dening began developing a digital ecosystem, for delivering an efficient website and mobile app utility. Publishing Kangaroo Island, Barossa Valley, Limestone Coast and Great Ocean Road apps. The following three years of data collection and user growth delivered proof that this platform was a popular and efficient travelers resource. What was wanted from the visitor experience is detailed in the 3 years of data collected also.
In the 2018 NVI Limestone Coast succeeded as an Inaugural Alumni participant. The app ecosystem developed and built since 2016 has attracted international recognition.
In December 2018 Austrade selected Goingtoplaces.com to present the ecosystem to the ASEAN Tech Challenge. Discussions have continued with AirAsia’s development group Redbeat Ventures. Invited to enter the Taiwan Tourism Innovation Awards in 2019, Goingtoplaces.com’s, Taiwan ecosystem on 15th April won through to the 2nd round of 45, from the original 500 plus international submissions.”
In May 2019 received a nomination for the “Innovation and Skills Small business awards”
