The Sports and Community Venues Branch delivers and develops a diverse range of quality community facilities, optimising service outcomes and contributing to the social cohesion, economic viability and health & wellbeing of our community. . Sunshine Coast Stadium and Kawana Sports Centre is an evolving, vibrant, sport, entertainment and events venue well positioned to cater for Community, Regional and National events.
We are seeking an experienced Event & Operations Manager to lead event and operations management services, advice and guidance in the planning and delivery of all events for a wide range of local, regional and national sporting groups and teams, as well as to community groups and Major event promoters who use the Kawana Sports Precinct and Sunshine Coast Stadium. In an average week you will:
- Lead the event and operations team in the planning and delivery of all events including daily and weekly operational plans/schedules.
- Assume the role of Venue Manager on major event days to provide advice on all event and operational matters.
- Manage and recruit employees for event and venue operations as well as coordinate site inductions, training payroll information, work scheduling and provision of HR reporting and compliance.
- Develop and manage event budgets including preparation and finalisation of event Profit and Loss reports in line with signed venue hire agreements for reporting purposes.
