Position Vacant: Festival and Events Coordinator
Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Festivals and Events Coordinator.
Coordinate the planning and deliver of a range of Festivals and Events which include but are not limited to Mackay Festival of Arts, Global Grooves, New Year’s Eve Celebrations and other Council managed events.
The role:
In conjunction with key stakeholders, the Festival and Events Coordinator will coordinate the planning, budgets and delivery of an agreed suite of Festivals and Events in the Mackay Region; undertaking necessary reviews and developing strategies as appropriate.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large-scale festivals and events
- Extensive experience in the development and delivery of marketing strategies aligned with current marketing platforms and trends
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated Project Management experience
- Staff supervision experience
- Working with Children Blue Card
- Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence
