Tourism Tasmania has an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and innovative marketing team as a Paid Social Media Campaign Specialist.
The role plays an integral role to drive and deliver on the social media strategy for Tourism Tasmania’s domestic and international paid campaigns including leading the development, curation and production of written and visual content for campaigns as well as management of our community.
Central to this role is an inherent understanding of social media – especially paid social and how social media can integrate better with other digital channels to create a seamless customer experience when telling Tasmania’s story. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to increase Tasmania’s share of voice and brand equity.

Duties
- Develop and manage the implementation of Tourism Tasmania’s paid social media strategy, campaigns and projects.
- Work closely with program managers, teams and with external agencies to oversee the production of engaging and insights driven content that reflects strategic objectives, in-market nuances, and current trends and best practices to inspire and influence the customer journey.
- Curate and create (platform-first brand-appropriate) content and drive continual improvement by testing and monitoring across social media platforms to optimise based on results, and develop and execute industry leading social media marketing.
- Manage social media analytic platforms to provide key insights and drive real time enhancements on performance, reporting results and recommendations to inform strategy and platform expansion.
- Drive consumer advocacy across Tourism Tasmania’s social media channels, cultivating a strong community through day-to-day engagement and community management to inspire and influence the consumer journey.
- Provide specialist social media advice and insights and coordinate and evaluate technical, analytical and workflow systems to support the implementation of marketing projects.
- Work closely with Tourism Tasmania’s teams to ensure alignment and efficiency across campaign and ongoing content program work streams.
- Manage online brand reputation and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
