THE ROLE
Moira Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a senior Tourism Development Coordinator wishing to further develop their career in tourism and local government.
The position will play a leading role in tourism development, and will be responsible for deliverables in tourism within Moira Shire. The position will assist with the implementation of the Council’s existing Economic Development Strategy and will take a lead in the implementation and review of marketing activities and the Visitor Services Strategy.
The successful candidate will need experience and knowledge of tourism development and marketing, have great communication skills and an aptitude for project implementation and collaboration.
This role will require strong staff management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as part of a team, and stakeholder management to implement the tourism related strategies.

We will also offer you use of a Council Vehicle subject to fortnightly contributions as per the Moira Shire Council Motor Vehicle Policy.
Please note that this is a maternity leave position for approximately 15 months and the position is based in Cobram, Victoria. See Position Description for further information.
