    About the role:

    Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing brand campaigns and strategies, implementing multifaceted promotional plans for the NTAV.

    Sitting within the senior management team this position plays an integral role in business growth and development. This newly created role has full responsibility for the development and execution of the annual marketing plan. You will deliver innovative advertising and promotional campaigns for NTAV branded projects, exhibitions, programs and events, as well as support and lead a small team of marketing professionals. Your role will focus on creating and consolidating powerful partnerships across the states visitor economy. You will use your exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills to secure industry partnerships at a state and local level.  You will identify and grow relationships with media partners and corporate partners to ensure maximum retention and growth.

    You’ll have a breadth of experience in managing and developing a portfolio of tourism and advertising partners and be able to demonstrate how your marketing and communication skills have helped to drive new business outcomes. You will be highly motivated, energetic and well-experienced people leader. 

    You will have a creative flair and a sophisticated style of writing as well as strong communication skills and analytical attention to detail. You will have proven people management skills to successfully lead and navigate through business change with an outstanding ability to build positive rapport with all stakeholders of the business. You will also have solid strategic brand planning and a long-term strategic vision with the ability to deliver short and medium-term brand equity and market share in relevant channels.

     

    Your responsibilities will include:

     * Researching and developing product strategies suitable for specific markets and new tourism opportunities for the NTAV

    * Cultivate media partnerships and explore new revenue partnerships via working with key marketing assets

    * Develop and manage marketing relationships with destination partners and community accounts at a state and regional level delivering co-operative initiatives to drive growth

    * Manage the marketing and branding function, building and maintaining the brand work delivered from the teams through the production of high quality branded communications & collateral regional copywriting, development of brand assets including magazines, creative briefs and advertising campaigns.

    * Ensuring on-time delivery of promotional material, including the provision of briefs, logos, mastheads, promotional copy, images etc.

    * Contributing to the development and implementation of the department’s strategic plan; a marketing strategy to attract and engage the tourism market and apply innovative thinking to influence best practice within the team

    * Sourcing, approaching and winning new business/tourism opportunities within the travel market place

    * Engage key stakeholders across the business to develop and manage the tourism side of the brand, aligning the organisation’s goals with the brands’ strategies.

    * Develop and execute the annual marketing plan

    * Leading and developing innovative digital strategies and creative content plans to ensure best practice and enhance the NTAV’s profile

    * Manage in-house Public relations including media relationships for the use of Media releases and targeted communications

    * Develop and lead high-level brand campaigns including innovative marketing concepts for our revised brand strategy

    You have a proven ability to develop innovative campaigns coupled with managing and motivating a high performing team will see you thrive in this role. You produce written communication that is well defined and concise and are able to effectively communicate objectives to team members. Your drive and commitment allow you to maintain a solution-focused approach to relationship building and development of promotional campaigns. 

    * You have widespread experience in tourism and communications/Public Relations

    * You have evidence of successfully implementing tourism and/or brand campaigns

    * You have high-level experience with digital marketing, including social and media and online advertising

    * You have successfully developed and managed corporate relationships and tourism partnerships

    * You have broad and demonstrable success in marketing, including a minimum of five years’ experience at a senior level

    * You’re passionate about Heritage and are eager to share that passion with others

    * You have a demonstrated ability to lead, manage and work effectively in a complex and changing environment with at least five years’ people management experience.

    * You’re a strategic, creative and practical thinker and planner.

    * You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    * You’re an adaptable and pragmatic problem solver

    * You have strong people skills — you’re approachable, a good listener and empathetic.

    * You have the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
