    Do you have great communication skills, the ability to interact with people from a broad customer base and a sound knowledge of Cobar and our surrounding region? Council is looking for a part time Tourism Officer at the Great Cobar Heritage Centre (currently at 43 Linsley Street til July 2021 while the GCHC is undergoing renovations).

    Put your passion for helping people and your exceptional customer service skills to good use as you offer professional and friendly assistance to visitors to the Cobar region, including:

    • Answering face to face and telephone enquiries
    • Connecting visitors with information on local events, attractions and accommodation
    • Assisting visitors to develop and itinerary of things to do during their stay
    • Point of sale service and collecting visitor data and statistics
    • Undertaking general administrative duties
    • Generally keeping the centre clean, tidy and a welcoming place to visit

    The Position:

    This part time position is classified as Band 1 Level 3 ($25.10 – $29.06/hr) within Council’s Salary System in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working 30 hours each fortnight, including weekends.
