VTIC Insight Series- Visitor Economy Master Plan Directions Paper
On Thursday 31 March the Victorian Government launched Victoria’s Visitor Economy Master Plan Directions Paper, which is now live on Engage Victoria.
The Visitor Economy Master Plan sets a vision for Victoria to have competitive world-class tourism offerings. The goal is to stimulate private and public investment in order to attract more visitors to stay longer and spend more. Investment is key for supporting the recovery of our industry.
Feedback is currently being sought from across the industry to inform the final plan, which is due to be released in late 2022.
VTIC has engaged with the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions throughout this process and has been deeply involved in shaping the directions paper. As part of our collaborations, VTIC will be hosting a special webinar session with representatives from the Department to present key elements of the directions paper which will help to inform the responses you might provide as part of this consultation process.
We would encourage you to make every effort to join this session so you can form a clearer understanding of the proposed direction as you shape your own feedback on the discussion paper.
You can view the discussion paper and submit your feedback at Engage Victoria.
Key dates in the process are as follows:
- Consultation opens: 31 March 2022
- Consultation closes: 3 May 2022
- Final report delivered in late 2022
We look forward to you joining us for this important information session.
