Art seeks Executive officer

In recent months, Australian Regional Tourism has reviewed the role of the Executive Officer (EO) and the Board is now calling on members to promote the position to suitably qualified applicants nationwide.

The EO will work with the Executive to deliver the Business Plan and manage the day to day operations of ART. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

The delivery of the three major projects for 2018/19; a new-look Young Tourism Professional Program, a National Strategy and Program to grow Agritourism across Australia, and the annual Australian Regional Tourism Convention,
The implementation of the Communications & Memberships Strategy & Action Plan,
Managing strategic partnerships and corporate sponsorships,
Lobbying on behalf of ART members,
Governance and administration
To be successful in the role, applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to work autonomously, have excellent communication and time management skills, and experience managing multiple major projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a fierce passion for regional tourism and Australia, and experience in a similar position.

Commencing in March 2018, this is a 12 month contract position that will suit those who have a registered business and access to a home office or similar. The contract is for four to five days per week.
